Dr Geoffrey Young
Dr Geoff Young graduated from the University of Sydney in 2002 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (First Class Honours & the University Medal). He obtained his Specialist degree from the University of Melbourne in 2007, and went on to establish Sydney Endodontic Centre – the largest accredited specialist endodontic group practice in the Inner West of Sydney.
In 2011, Dr Young became the first endodontist in New South Wales to be awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons (RACDS) in the Special Field of Endodontics. This is a highly specialised qualification of the RACDS. Dr Young is a current Examiner for the Final Examination for Fellowship of the RACDS in General Dental Practice.
Dr Young is an elected Councillor of the Australian Dental Association (NSW Branch). ADA NSW Council is responsible for policy matters relating to professional activities of ADA NSW. Dr Young is Past President and current Committee Member of the Australian Society of Endodontology (NSW Branch), having served on the Executive Committee for over eight years. The Australian Society of Endodontology, established in the 1960’s, is a special interest group promoting interest and participation in the study and advancement of endodontics. Dr Young is a Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy, and a Member of the Australian & New Zealand Academy of Endodontics, the International Association of Dental Traumatology, and the American Association of Endodontists.
Dr Young is committed to providing education, and throughout his career has consistently held the position of Lecturer and Clinical Educator at the University of Sydney, providing hands-on clinical teaching to Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) students. Dr Young has lectured both Australia-wide and internationally to dentists and students. He has published both research and clinical papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
Dr Young is Founder and President of the Multidisciplinary Grand Rounds Study Group (MGRSG). This is an ADA-affiliated Special Interest Group which provides continuing education to a membership of over 200 dentists. Dr Young is heavily involved in developing and providing continuing education through the Australian Dental Association, the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons, and the University of Sydney. He currently heads a two-day intensive course for the Australian Dental Association teaching advanced techniques in endodontics.
In 2018, Dr Young was inducted as a Fellow of the International College of Dentists (ICD). Fellowship of the ICD is extended by invitation only, and follows a rigorous peer-review process leading to recognition of, “outstanding professional achievement, meritorious service and dedication to the continued progression of dentistry for the benefit of humankind”.
Dr Kim Mai Dang
Dr Kim Mai Dang obtained her Bachelor of Dentistry degree with Honours from the University of Sydney in 2008. She worked in private general practice and the public sector prior to undertaking her specialist endodontic training at the University of Melbourne. She obtained her Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Endodontics in 2013.
Dr Dang enjoys all aspects of endodontics, and has a special interest in the management of dental trauma. She has served as a committee member of the Australian Society of Endodontology (Vic Branch) and holds clinical teaching appointments at both La Trobe University and the University of Sydney. Dr Dang is also involved in delivering lectures within Australia.
Dr Dang is a member of the Australian Dental Association, the Australian Society of Endodontology and the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Endodontics.
Dr Suzy Wang
Dr Suzy Wang obtained her Bachelor of Dentistry degree with Honours from the University of Sydney in 2010. She practiced general dentistry in both public and private sectors in Sydney and regional NSW before starting her Doctor of Clinical Dentistry at the University of Adelaide. She obtained her Doctor of Clinical Dentistry in Endodontics in 2015.
Dr Wang has been involved in teaching undergraduate dental students at both the University of Sydney and the University of Adelaide. She has published papers in peer-reviewed Australian scientific journals.
Dr Wang is a member of the Australian Dental Association, the Australian Society of Endodontology (NSW Branch), the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Endodontists, and the Multidisciplinary Grand Rounds Study Group (MGRSG).
